At Cross Maniacs (https://app.crossmaniacsapp.com) we take the protection of your personal data very seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it and how you can exercise your rights.

Information we collect

• Identification and contact details that you provide when you create your account.
• Training records (WODs, benchmarks, personal records) that you enter voluntarily.
• Minimal technical data generated when you use the platform (access date, IP address, device), required for security.
• If you take part in an online competition: the videos you record and submit, your result and the technical data needed to verify that the video has not been modified (file fingerprint, recording date and duration, device type and a public key generated on your device).

How we use your data

• To provide the training planning and logging service.
• To sync your experience across devices and offer you personalised metrics.
• To ensure the security of the platform, detect misuse and comply with legal obligations.
• To contact you occasionally about relevant changes to the service.

Competition videos and YouTube API Services

Cross Maniacs uses YouTube API Services to publish online competition videos. When you submit the video of a competition WOD, we upload it to the official CrossManiacs YouTube channel as an unlisted video (it does not appear in search results or on the channel; only people with the link can watch it), so that the judges and the other participants can review it. The video title includes the competition name, the WOD and your username.

Cross Maniacs does not access your YouTube or Google account: videos are uploaded with the CrossManiacs account and you do not need to authorise any access. By using this feature you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service (see also the online competition terms), and Google’s processing of the videos is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Videos are stored on our server only until they are published on YouTube. If you replace your result, the previous video is made private. You can ask us to delete your videos from a competition by writing to the contact address; we will delete them from YouTube and from our systems, except for what is necessary to resolve claims relating to that competition.

Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you sign up, the performance of the service contract and our legitimate interest in keeping Cross Maniacs secure. You can withdraw your consent at any time from your profile.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your data. It is only shared with strictly necessary providers (hosting, transactional email, internal analytics, payments with Stripe and publication of competition videos on YouTube, a Google service), under contracts that guarantee its confidentiality and in accordance with applicable laws.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account remains active. If you decide to delete it, we will delete or anonymise any information that is not subject to legal obligations.

Your rights

You can access, rectify or delete your data, object to its processing and request its portability. Write to us and we will help you exercise your rights.
